Electronics and Gadgets

Electronics can include anything from toys to office products. Not surprisingly, Star Wars offers everything from a 'real' R2-D2 to Video Games and Computer Accessories.

Video Games have come a long way. They started with the simple Atari 2600 and small, battery powered LCDs with black images. Now, they range across multiple platforms with high definition, excellent graphics and blur the boundary between movie and game. Most movies are made into games, these days, but Star Wars also uses them to expand it's galaxy.

• The Atari era also had rivals in Intellision and later Nintendo 64.
• Hand Held LCDs with just one game.
• Plug and Plays. For those in the modern era who don't want to commit to a more expensive system. These graphics are far better than the old versions but much not as fancy as the platform games. But there are even Wii like versions, including one for lightsaber combat and one for space battles.
• PC games by Lucasarts
• Mac. These are usually ported over from Lucasarts by Aspyr games. Sadly, not all made the transition.
• Online Flash Games: Some are official, others are made by fans.
• Platform Games. These include games for Gamecube (the first), XBox and XBox 360, Playstation, Wii.

Gadgets have come along way as well. You can get a 'real' R2-D2, interactive, that plays games, remembers his all of his Star Wars friends and even acts as a room guard and delivers drinks. There is a real phone called a 'droid' which licensed the name from Lucasfilm. You can get fun, Star Wars computer accessories. Check these out.

• Interactives, Like R2-D2 and Yoda. They both play games. Yoda teaches lightsaber skills (he comes with one) and R2 can also act as a room alarm.
• Mimibots - flash drives made to look like characters, they come preinstalled with fun extras like avatars, soundbites and wallpapers.
• headphones made with Star Wars designs.
• R2-D2 and Darth Vader USB hubs

• R2-D2 projector

• Star Wars MP3 players
• Telephones, from the old vintage Darth Vader speaker phone to the new R2-D2 phone.
• Darth Maul's Infiltrator (spaceship) remote control.
• Darth Maul laser pointer.
• Tom Tom. Yes, Star Wars can now do your GPS navigation for your personal ground vehicle.
