Videos and Video Games

These have come a long way. It may be a challenge to find not only the video, but also anything to play it.

Videos - VHS, DVD. Some were not released in America.

• VHS Star Wars Trilogy VHS. The original Trilogy was released in the late 1980's. The quality of the originals was not very good due to the deterioration of the film stock.
• VHS The Star Wars Trilogy VHS. Remastered THX version. This was a vastly improved version. The film stock was repaired, sounds corrected and added back in. Widescreen and regular.
• VHS Star Wars Trilogy Special editions. When Star Wars was redone with added and altered scenes, fans both rejoiced and revolted.
• VHS The Phantom Menace.
• VHS Attack of the Clones
• VHS Revenge of the Sith was not released in America
• VHS Droids Cartoon The last release combined several of the episodes to give a complete story line. This version had no theme song and was released in a clamshell box.
• VHS Ewoks Cartoon. Again, several episodes released.
• VHS From Star Wars to Jedi, Making of a Saga
• DVD Star Wars Original Trilogy released individually or as a set. There have been a couple of different covers and the extras differ. One version includes both the original and special edition versions.
• DVD Star Wars Prequels Trilogy released indivdually or as a set. Different stores had different add ons: Wal-Mart included a story of Star Wars DVD. Target had a gold color Vader Coin in the Revenge of the Sith package. Bonus: Attack of the Clones disc has wallpaper and galleries on disc without needing an internet connection.
• DVD Ewoks Movies: Caravan of Courage and the Battle for Endor DVD: 2 Ewok movies released on TV in the US and in theaters everywhere else.
• DVD Ewoks Cartoon : 2 sided and contains 2 complete storylines.
• DVD Droids Cartoon : 2 sided and contains 2 complete storylines. But the theme song still isn't back.
• DVD Clone Wars vol 1 (micro series) - animated. includes featurettes, trailers and galleries.
• DVD Clone Wars vol 2 (micro series) - animated.includes featurettes, trailers and galleries.
• DVD The Clone Wars. The animated Movie to go with the Cartoon Network series.
• DVD The Clone Wars complete season 1
• DVD The Clone Wars Galaxy Divided - first four episodes of season 1
• DVD The Clone Wars Clone Commandos - 4 more from the first season.
• DVD The Clone Wars complete season 2
• BLU RAY Star Wars (all the movies.) Coming Soon, with new extras.
• BLU RAY The Clone Wars complete season 1
• BLU RAY The Clone Wars complete season 2

Video Games

Star Wars the arcade game was originally just that, a coin operated, highly popular game in arcades. It was later ported over to Atari and it's various systems. Eventually it was upgraded for Nintendo as well. Your mission: fly and X-Wing fighter against the Death Star. They also came out with The Empire Strikes Back where you piloted a snowspeeder against the Imperial Walkers, A Jedi Arena game where you waved lightstabers, and a Return of the Jedi game where you end up battling to break through the new Death Star shield.

Lucasarts is not surprisingly, related to Lucasfilm. It now produces all the Star Wars video games (and more.) The list is huge. You can play a Star Wars Galaxies, become Darth Vader's apprentice in Force Unleashed, battle as Rogue Leader, become a jedi and more. You can play as a main character during the movies or even as their lego version. Some games are adult level, others are for the younglings.
